Hello and Welcome to Create A Powerful Songwriting Practice!

This course is a foundational starting point as I believe it will have a huge impact on your songwriting practice (and life) if you put in the time and intention. And it doesn’t take much. With under 10 minutes a day just 1-3 days a week, you can be on your way to making an inspiring and welcoming place for your muse.

Here are some of the things you’ll gain from taking this course:

  • Access to a writing practice approach that works. We’ve designed Create a Powerful Writing Practice to inspire you, engage you, and set the stage for your songwriting to become a regular part of your life now — instead of something you’ll do later.
  • Practical tools you can use to set your songwriting up for success and cement it as a EDIT THIS
  • Develop a sense of deeper mindfulness and access to your Muse. It’s easy to get caught up in this world of doing. This course will help you to become more mindful and in touch with your senses, emotions, and subtle energies, so that you are more open to receive the creative genius within you.

How to Get the Most Out of this Course

While this course is self-directed, we have found that the best way to learn and really integrate something new is to share your progress. To that end, we encourage you to use our community for what it is: A supportive place to give energy and momentum to your growth, share and go deeper, and hold yourself accountable.

Share in the Private Facebook Group

We encourage you to share your progress, thoughts, and questions about this course — and your new writing practice — in the Facebook Group This will inspire, encourage, and help you and others and help to you to stay on track with your goals.

Here are a few tips for sharing:

  • Be supportive. Encourage and support your fellow members and cheer them on!  Leave criticism, cynicism, advice, or judgement out of this space (there is enough of that on the internet already).
  • Share generously. Your story, perspective, and experience may be exactly what another student needs to hear today to have a breakthrough!
  • Be constructive. We’re here to cheer each other forward and lift each other up. Find ways to help each other think bigger, reframe challenges, and stay curious.

Use a Journal and Questions to Deepen Your Practice

At the end of some the lessons we offer questions and reflections to help you integrate what you learn about yourself. We encourage you to answer these as much as possible, and see where they take you. We encourage you to use a dedicated journal for this course to track what comes up.
