Like any major project, there are a million decisions to make and it’s rarely a straight path. Also, it doesn’t help being an artist, as we are so often driven by our emotions, vision, and the deep meaning we give to our projects which are so personal. 

The goal of this workshop is to help you create a clear plan and mindset for approaching your recording project, so that you can go into it as prepared as possible. This workshop is not about specific recording techniques or technical aspects of recording. It’s about the before process of preparing you, and your music for success, which is one of THE most important parts, many people fail to consider. 

In This workshop You Will: 

  • Get clear on your goals for your album so you same time, energy and money from the start
  • Understand the difference between recording for personal pleasure vs career and how that can shape your process 
  • How to choose what songs to record
  • Learn how to prepare your songs for the studio, including:
    • Creating a clear artistic vision
    • How to arrange your songs for studio
    • How to select musicians and partners
    • How to work with a producer, engineer and mixing engineer 

You will have the opportunity to bring your current project to the group for feedback and specific support questions about your recording process
