Format
Held over zoom in live, participatory online classes designed to feel intimate and supportive. Most workshops run in small groups (8–12 people) over 6–8 weeks, with a few shorter intensives or one-time sessions mixed in.
Who It’s For
Open to any level — total newbie or advanced. In addition to songwriting, we offer workshops on many creative paths, including creative unblocking, recording, poetry, stage confidence, music marketing, the music business, personal growth, and more.
What you’ll get
When you join a workshop, you’re also joining a vibrant, caring community of songwriters from all over the world. Members have formed bands, recorded albums, co-written songs, played shows together, and built friendships that extend far beyond the classroom. This is a space for connection, accountability, encouragement, and belonging.
Whether you’re craving fresh inspiration, meaningful feedback, or the gentle structure that deadlines and community provide, we’re confident you’ll find something here for you.

Stay inspired, connected, and creative. Have the courage to show up for your practice, find your voice, and share it with the world. Brave Songwriting is a weekly space for you to stay connected to your practice, grow as a songwriter, and connect with people who are just like you!
What Happens in Each Class:
Each class begins with a creative prompt, mini-lesson, and guided writing time. The focus of the second half of class is an invitation for sharing songs: You will have an opportunity to share something with the group, such as a full song, snippet, poem, or anything else relevant to your creative process, with safe, supportive (optional) feedback.
Active sharing in this way is potent. Through the experiental process of sharing, witnessing, and gentle feedback, incredible growth can happen. Please note that sharing is not required, and you will learn a lot just by being in the space : )
